In space, in the distant future. I am from the past, but I am allowed to experience this future. I am sitting inside a cube-like ship with someone and we are looking back on what we know about the human race. We are trying to determine a secret of existing... And this little door opens and inside I can see fluorescent lights. We walk through the door. It is a hospital. And I am amazed because I see a woman in pain, suffering, begging her doctor to help her. I realize that everything that exists today, pain, suffering, people's stupid little problems will exist forever and it amazes me. I look out the window at the skyline. We walk out in front and it is strangely warm and neutral. I realize we are in Phoenix. I get excited because I am about to experience Phoenix in the distant future. It is an amazing gift. It truly was amazing... We had a specific mission. The ground was cement. There were trees and little shops. It felt so strange, the future... I realized I had no shirt so I asked if we could stop by a store so I could pick one up. I walked into a little shop and looked at all the shirts. They were laid out in a strange way. There was a shirt nicely folded into a square, laid out underneath a stack of shirts with the same design. This way, I could easily pick out a shirt. Most of the shirts had anime characters on them with kanji written in little boxes for dialogue. I knew I'd never decide. This girl walked up and started talking to me. She said she'd wanted to kiss me that other night. I remembered ignoring her. She was putting glue over her eyebrows. We couldn't kiss today because she was gluing on her new eyebrows. And I realized the ones I had come with were gone so I ran out of the store. Then I realized I had a shirt on. On it, was a big white box with rounded corners. I tucked in my tag. I thought someone was chasing me but I was alone. I ran and the leaves fell from the trees and so many leaves fell I thought they were fake but then I realized this tree didn't exist in the past. I suddenly remembered, I was from the past... - |
