"I really wanted to capture this dream because it has always been one that I easily remembered- it left a big impression on me, and I always longed to have more dreams like it. I had this dream so long ago that one would think that I would have forgotten it, but it has stayed with me and left a lasting impression. I think it was one of the first "water dreams" that I had, maybe a foreshadowing to the dreams that I have recently had concerning water- it seems as if these dreams are evolving in some way." Rowan

I remember being in a fabric store, surrounded by an endless array of swatches of fabric. At the very back of the store was a doorway, and it appeared that everything beyond the doorway was dark and green. I walked through the doorway, and I was at the head of a huge marble staircase. My father was a couple of steps down from me, and he beckoned me to follow him down the stairs, so I did.

The stairs lead down to a huge hall in a mansion, and at the foot of the stairs, the wall of the mansion (which was like 10 stories high) was this huge casement window. It literally took up the whole wall, from top to bottom and side to side- gigantic. There were long, ornate hangings on the sides of the window as well- I think they were red.

My father waved his hand slowly to this huge window, and as he did that, it blew open, the hangings flying around dramatically with the force of the wind.

I could see that it was night, and the ocean was flush with the outside of the window.

In an instant, the wind picked me up, and I was blown out into the ocean- it was the most marvelous feeling, like flying, but I was scared, because I flew out very, very far. I was about to land in the water when a dolphin appeared, and he bounced me like a ball back into the air. Then I was caught by another dolphin, and bounced to another, and another, and so on, like a human beach ball. It was fun, but there was an element of breathlessness to it- as if it was all so new that I was scared.

Then, just as suddenly as the wind carried me out to sea, the wind grabbed me again and flew me back into the window of the mansion. I landed on the marble floor by my father- I can't remember what his expression or attitude was.
