"The weirdest part about this dream is that I was trying to remember all the different parts when I woke up so I could write them here. During which, I dozed off again and had a dream that I was trying to write the story here, but I couldn't remember the date. My clock broke down and I couldn't send in this dream because it had no date attached. I woke up again and cursed myself for being such a dumbass." Lance Turk

This is one of those dreams that defies all logic. It's hard to believe that I never came to the realization that it was all a dream at any point. And yet again, I found myself back in high school. I just can't seem to let it go.

The first thing I remember is being in the middle of a gym. There was a big blue mat covering the floor. The whole class was spread out evenly over the mat. I think we were doing heavy exercises before. For the moment, we were relaxing. We were all lying down like it was nap time. After a few minutes I rolled over. The whole class followed suit. So now we were all lying on our stomachs relaxing.

I looked over to an old friend of mine, and he was talking to a girl. After a while they started kissing each other right in the middle of class. They stopped kissing, then my friend turned over so he was lying on his back again. So the whole class, including myself, flipped around and laid on our backs.

That's when the gym teacher whipped out a beach ball and music started to play. Oddly enough it was Freak on a Leash by KoRn. Everyone got up and walked around socializing. Quite a few people were singing along with the lyrics, but not taking them too seriously. I felt kind of insulted, because I like to take my music seriously, and these girls were walking around cheerfully saying, "a cheap fuck for me to lay. Something takes a part of me." Great big smiles on their faces, having a good time.

Eventually the song ended, and Got the Life came on next. I assumed the radio station must be playing the whole album of Follow the Leader in order. But the rest of the kids didn't know this song, so people weren't singing along happily with it. Which I was content with.

The beach ball made its way to me around then. The beach ball was made of some sort of cloth. Not the kind of thing you'd expect to hold air. But I put it under me, and I used it to bounce around. I got about 20 feet away when it popped. Oops. I smoothed it out flat and put it into the trash can. I realized that the radio must have been embedded within the ball because the sound started to fade away. By this time the song had ended and now the radio was taking a commercial break. So I thought nobody would mind if I just threw the deflated ball away.

I walked behind the gym teacher, and after a while he suddenly shouted, where is my ball? Who has it? He was really pissed. Eventually, one of the students said they found it, and pulled out the flattened piece of cloth. The teacher went berserk. He was demanding who broke it, but nobody knew. I certainly wasn't talking. He started talking about dusting for fingerprints, and everybody had to be printed...

That's when I woke up.
