"This was a long time
ago, so it's hard for me to pick out what I felt about the dream. Although
I'll say that it was true to life at the time. Nothing I did could be too
special to not end up in being made fun of. Just all part of growing up I
guess.." Lance

It seems everybody has a dream about flying at one point in their lives. Although I have to admit that my dream didn't go over quite so well. I was in fifth grade when it happened. I don't remember the part of the dream when I found out I could fly. I remember that it wasn't so much of a Superman type of flight as it was kicking my legs as if I was swimming in the air. I thought it was the coolest thing of all. I went to school, and during class I wanted to show off my new ability and be cool for once in my life. The reaction I got was a bit weird. The other kids in the class said, "So what? Who cares? You mean that you didn't know how to do that already? What a dumbass." Apparently I was the last person to know how to float in air. So I stopped kicking and sat back down in my chair. - |
