These two dreams are so different. It's amazing how much variety our subconscious allows us in these stories. In "washing" I met the sister I don't have in real life. In "bridge" I experienced an emotional cinematic moment... David Mulhern

4:52 am: I was at my old house. I was in the bathroom. There were mexican guys cleaning the house. One very overweight guy came into the bathroom. He asked if he could wash up.

My sister came in. We were both a bit worried about the towels but I told him it would be fine. She was upset by this.

He started by taking a whole bunch of baby powder into his hands and rubbing it on his face. I felt bad because I realized he didn't know what to do.

I showed him where the shampoo was. He thought it was toothpaste. He looked at me... "T-O-O-T-H, tooth." He said. As he spelled he pointed out the letters on the bottle.

He asked his friend to videotape him. I realized this was a really important experience for him. I was glad I let him use the bathroom. I now looked at the situation completely different.

His mom lived down the street. She said "He's just a youngin'..."

6:09 am: Alaska. Completely beautiful scenery all around. A little boy in a red shirt, cute as can be, walks along a beautiful cliff drop-off. I'm watching him... The moment is very cinematic.

He walks across the bridge towards me. He stands there, in the middle of the bridge. He wanted to watch a movie my brother Thomas had made. I told him he would have to wait until we saw it.

And I was told that Thomas wanted us to watch it first, and I started crying. The fact he wanted us to see it made me so sad.

And I stood on the bridge crying, looking out at the mountains watching the little boy leave. And my dad walked up behind me and took in a deep breath and said "Aw, if we only had more days like this..."

And I ducked under his arms and ran inside the house that wasn't ours...
